OOH! We love this movie. It's so much fun. Monty Woolley makes what might be a nasty character into a lovable curmudgeon. Bette Davis is at her best.

  4. Monty Wooley's character, Sheridan Whiteside, IS the show, Phil. The whole shebang centers on him, and the all the sub-plots revolve around him.

Glad you like it. The music ALONE makes it worthwhile -- at least for me. I must have seen this thing at least ten times by now, and I never get tired of it -- but even though it's not really about Christmas at all, it somehow BELONGS to the Christmas Season.

I wish I could move all of this amazing stuff you've put up in front of my easy chair. It's hard to sit in an office chair and watch whole movies on a computer.

  6. I do too, Monica. Sitting here as much as I do often gives me a bad case of fanny fatigue, but the computer with which I have a classic love-hate relationship has become my "window on the world."
